A Golden Retriever Dug Herself Into Trouble — and Firefighters Dug Her Right Back Out
On August 29, a golden retriever in McKinleyville, California dug a hole under a brick planter box wall and got herself stuck fast underneath it. Neighbors called it in, and crews from the Arcata Fire District spent the afternoon carefully clearing soil and debris until she was free — tired, dusty, and no worse for wear.
“We are happy to report that the rescue was successful!” the department wrote afterward.
